About Betty

As a child growing up on Long Island, NY, Betty remembers spending long hours playing in her father’s prized flower garden and learning about the natural world through his eyes.

Although she chose nursing as a career, she never strayed far from the art and science of plant cultivation.

Betty studied Horticultural Interior Design at the New York Botanical Gardens and later became an Advanced Master Gardner in Connecticut, winning numerous awards for floral design.

Living in Sarasota, FL since 1991, she founded A Little Shop Of Flowers which has now become "Fusion Botanical Arts" to create permanent botanicals with live and dried materials to produce unique, one-of-a kind designs. Betty combs the beaches and scours the natural Florida hammock for native elements for her arrangements.

Betty combines her medical experience and knowledge of the chakra or spiritual energy to create arrangements that foster healing. Many of the designs are based on the principals of Feng Shui, color therapy, and vibrational healing modalities.

Betty's new surreal designs call to mind one of her favorite artists, Salvador Dali. She became more inspired

after visiting his home in Spain.

Fusion Botanical Arts is committed to fostering joy, beauty, harmony and healing.
